BDK Parfums is a Parisian niche perfume house founded in 2016 by David Benedek in the Palais-Royal district of Paris. Benedek's grandparents were among the first in 1950s Paris authorised to sell major perfume brands, and he trained in perfumery at the French Institute of Fashion and Givaudan before launching his own house. BDK works with leading French perfumers and artisans, and its bottles sit in a book-like case, because the brand sees its range as a "fragrant library" in which every scent tells a story of Paris and beyond. It belongs to the Collection Matières, BDK's line built around one noble raw material, explored in depth and given a modern twist. French Bouquet was created by perfumer Amélie Bourgeois.
